...and yet again I can't find the charger. I swear I'm completely incapable of keeping track of anything. Something is always lost and it's a little frustrating.
Hopefully I find it before Allison turns 2 months next Thursday. Or Matt's company Halloween part next Friday. Or actual Halloween the following Monday...

Matchy-matchy
Yep, I'm one of THOSE moms. lol I have fond memories of having matching dresses with my sisters, so it was something I wanted to continue. And Erin was so excited that their dresses matched
Too bad I couldn't get them to both look at me at the same time!

Allison's blessing...and gardening
Allison was blessed on Sunday. It wasn't as much of a to-do as Erin's and Patrick's, since we had no family in town and pretty much everyone was sick (our friends, Erin and Patrick...). The circle was just Matt, the bishopric and our friend Dave, and Dave left right after the Sacrament was passed, so we didn't get a picture of all the men in the circle holding her. Not only that, but Patrick started crying when Matt got up and didn't take him along, so I only heard bits and pieces of the blessing. But Matt blessed her to be a "great friend and help to her mother." She's such a sweetheart, so I believe it.
Here she is with her whole ensemble.
I didn't have a diaper cover, so I chose this one a friend made us that had giraffes on it, just for giggles.
The bonnet ended up being a bit too small though, so it didn't stay on very well, so I ended up opting for a white headband instead.
Today I decided to get out and clear out the area I want to plant irises in. I bought some bulbs and I'm very excited. It's overgrown with mint, however. And it was a LOT more work than I thought it was going to be, so I didn't get very far today. I was only out there for 40 minutes before Allison woke up and got really fussy. Hopefully I can get it done before the end of the week.

Happy....October??
Erin this morning decided we needed to get a jump start on October and wear our shirts.
I found this hat this morning too. When Patrick wore it, it was slightly too small for him since he was about 8 months old. But it's a little too big for Allison. ((she was yawning))
This is Erin in her new seat. I realized that she was 8lbs over the weight limit of the harness of her old seat, but at 4 she is still a bit too young for the shoulder/lap belt in the car. So we had to get a seat with a better harness. As you can see, the harness goes to 65lbs (instead of 40). She loves it.
Oh, and I LOVE the Denver metro area! I swear there is so much wildlife here. It's weird for me, since you'd think a city with 2.5 million people wouldn't have so many animals! These two ladies we saw while out visiting teaching today.
And one of my favorite things about fall is the beautiful leaf colors. Especially this red/orange isn't it gorgeous? I think it's my favorite fall color.

Too far behind to catch up...
...so I won't even try.
Matt's parents have been in town. They're leaving tomorrow, so we went to the zoo today (we like the zoo, in case you haven't noticed).
And then we went to Red Lobster for dinner. Last time we went a few months back, the waitress brought out a live lobster to show Erin and she refused to touch it. So when she heard we were going to "the lobster house" for dinner she announce "Imma touch it this time!" So we asked to have a lobster brought out, so she could try.
And she did!

So natural
I have to admit, I was really intimidated at the prospect of being mother to 3 children. I only have 2 hands, how was it going to work?
Today we ran a couple errands...all 3 kids and me. Matt was invited to play some games with "the boys" this morning, so I decided it would be a trial run. And it surprised me how natural it was for me. I guess I'm lucky that my kids are well-behaved. My main worry is what to do with the kids in the parking lot on the way in to the store. Usually I have each hold a hand. Today I carried Allison's seat in one hand, held Patrick's hand with the other, and Erin walked along in front. Nobody ran, nobody melted down. It was a good experience. Of course, what happens on the bad days will be interesting, but I'm glad to know that not every trip will be bad.
It's almost like I can't remember what it was like being the mother of just 2. Allison fits in so naturally, it's like she's always been here with us. I actually felt this same way with Erin and Patrick too. Erin was a bit more of an adjustment, obviously, since I was learning how to be a mom with her. But she was more of a fulfillment of my life rather than a huge change. And it's the same with the other two.
I guess I was just always meant to be a mom.
And some pictures...because I can't have a post without them!
The first few are from the day before Allison was born...at the zoo.
Just cuteness
My girls and Grandma
All ready for her first day of church
Sunshine therapy at the park. I think it's working because I swear she's less yellow today.
Erin climbing the slide and making it "all the way" up. It wasn't a big slide, but she was so proud of herself. lol
Patrick playing peekaboo. I managed to get a shot before he ran away.
