Expected too much of myself maybe?

Guess what, moving is hard.  And moving while pregnant is harder.  And it takes a long time to recover from.

So I haven't updated the blog for a long time.  Hard to have the energy to do really anything at all.

We're doing good though!  Erin started first grade

And Patrick started preschool

Allison turned 2!

And baby boy has a name!

We're still living with several boxes.  Once we got to a certain point in unpacking (and the internet got set up :p ) things came to a halt.  But it's still really bothering me, so I'm going to be trying over the next few weeks to get them unpacked or out of the way somewhere.

I love my new house.  Except for just a couple little hiccups, it's great.  But I am really missing Denver's fall weather.  Denver was really the only place I've ever lived that I felt totally at home in, so it's been hard now that the permanence of it (and DIFFERENCE of it) is settling in.  And I may just be a tad bit hormonal.

Okay, I took a 2 month break.

It's been a busy couple of months!  We accepted a transfer offer for Matt, we sold our house, we bought our house, and we're moving in a week!

Sounds like the perfect time to do a Photo of the Day, nay?

So, for today... Something starting with N.

And it is Nias...the female orangutan sitting at the window of her habitat at the zoo, so I got the kids to pose with her

Allison was not at ALL sure and did NOT want to be there.  Patrick was trying to comfort her.  Awwwwwwww.

Happy birthday Erin!

We had a fun day today!

We rode the train downtown to have lunch with Daddy (everyone's hair had blue hair chalk.  Erin wanted blue hair, and then we all had to join in..lol)

We had lunch at Noodles & Co.

And since today was a Friday, Daddy worked a half day, so he got to come home with us!

Erin got to skype Grandma and Grandpa and open her present from them

And of course, after dinner we had cake and Erin unwrapped her other presents

So glad to get to celebrate another year with our sweetheart!

I had an ultrasound today.  My due date was moved from 12/23 to 12/25.  But my little blob had a heart beat (150) and that's all I care about.  Here's a blurry picture, the blob on the left is the yolk sac, the blob on the right is the baby.

Cora's birthday

We celebrated Cora's birthday over the course of a few days
May 1: It snowed and I went grocery shopping, so we went out to dinner that night

May 2nd: We made cupcakes.  Blackberry cupcakes.  Because Cora told me to.  (When I passed the blackberries at the store, a little voice at the back of my head said "OH! Put THOSE in the CUPCAKES!")

May 3rd we released our butterflies

May 4: Not really for Cora's birthday.  We planted some plants in our garden.

Finishing out April

April 26: Allison found Hello Kitty

April 27: we weeded the garden plot to get it ready

and danced at the dinner table

April 29th: picnic in the park, sick mommy style

Snow, school, and butterflies

April 23: It snowed

We played in the snow

April 24: Panda Express for lunch after the kids' dentist appointments.

April 25: We picked up Erin from school

And Cora's butterflies emerged!
