I can't believe it's been 4 years. It seems to have gone by in the blink of an eye. Here is where I usually post the video, but with all the moving craziness that hasn't happened. Hopefully before the end of the month!

Overwhelmed.
That's the word. We made a big list of the things we need to buy...for painting, for yard work, other little things. I'm overwhelmed by all the boxes I've packed and barely made a dent. And I'm just exhausted all the time.
Molly Maids are cleaning the house this morning and then we can start moving boxes over into rooms that aren't going to be painted. We're probably going to need Matt to take a couple days off work to get the rooms all painted and such.
Erin's birthday video isn't going to get done by tomorrow. It makes me a little sad. I know she won't know/remember but I still wish I could have gotten it done too.

Boxes, bedding and bellies
So, one of my least favorite parts of moving is packing. And my least favorite part of packing is finding boxes. So you can imagine how overjoyed I was when, while at Walmart today, I happened upon some. Erin wanted a drink from the drinking fountain, so we went into the site-to-store area, and someone had left 2 carts full of boxes back there. Well, technically 3, but I only took 2. One were boxes for Sterilite and Rubbermaid storage containers, so they're fairly big, and I didn't need 2 carts full of really big boxes. And actually I left the biggest of the boxes in the cart outside, because I don't want them TOO heavy and/or unwieldy. but there was also a cart full boxes for Kellogg cereals, which were perfect sized. I have no idea where we're going to PUT all the full boxes until we can start taking the to house (after recarpeting and painting), but we'll make do. lol
I also bought my crib bedding today! I've never bought a set before, but I fell in love with this one and couldn't resist.
And last but not least, the belly. For one of the forums I'm on we do a thing on Friday where we take pictures of ourselves with the fruit that the baby is the size of for the week we are. Well, Allison is the size of an eggplant. Erin took this picture, didn't she do so well?

A pair of sickies
Coughing and hoarseness. Erin's poor little voice is the most pathetic thing I've ever heard. I'm starting to get it too. Joy.

Homeowners!
Yep, you read that right. Today we officially closed on our house. We take possession Friday afternoon, and then after we paint and put in new carpet, we can move in! I'm more than a little excited!

Ward campout and zoo day
Friday night was our ward campout. We only went up for the dinner since the kids were acting sicky (stuffy/runny noses) and my back was kind of spasming. There was another ward there (the land is owned by the Church) doing their fathers&sons campout. Patrick was fascinated by the paper air-powered rockets.
Erin and Patrick love their toddler sized camp chairs!
I told Matt I needed a picture of me since I'm always left out! lol ((and then I forgot to take a pic of him!))
Since we didn't camp out we decided to go to the zoo Saturday morning. Erin was so excited to have Daddy come along.
Patrick was too interested in his raisins to want to take a picture.
The lions were let out right as we got there, so they were pretty active, investigating their territory and telling people they were around.
We arrived at bird world right in time for the penguin feeding. That was a lot of fun. It was interesting to see the different personalities of the birds.
A baby came wandering out of the nest cave and mama ran right over to usher it back inside. It was cute.
This guy is the "old man" penguin. He's as old as me!
The pink cockatoo came up to say hi to Erin.
There was a zookeeper talking about bird eggs and Erin got to touch and ostrich egg and an emu egg (that were empty of course). She was so excited, and then started talking about how she loves scrambled eggs. >_<
Erin loved the flamingos. She's been trying to stand on one foot like one since.
Gorillas always seem so forlorn.
And the best part of going to the zoo in May and June? The BABIES!

And just for fun, a video taken a while back while we were having dinner at Red Lobster. Our waiter brought a lobster from the tank to show Erin. Patrick touched it, Erin didn't like that idea. lol

New 'do
I decided today that it was time...my hair was getting in the way and bothering me. So...time to cut it off! The inspiration was from the end of the movie Tangled, after Rapunzel's hair gets cut off.
Obviously my hair wouldn't look quite like that since it's not straight, but it turned out cute!
